Cayuga Creek/Weber Property Restoration for Flood Protection

The Town of Niagara, in collaboration with Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper and the Western New York Land Conservancy, will restore the approximately 33 acre undeveloped "Weber property" along Cayuga Creek, a tributary to the Niagara River. Work will ensure long-term protection of one of the largest contiguous areas of natural landcover along the creek, and enhance hydrologic and ecological stream function. This project will address frequent flooding events and increase resiliency to future extreme weather conditions.
