Innovation and collaboration will create opportunity for all who live and work in Central New York. This vision has allowed the Central New York Regional Economic Development Council (CNYREDC) to be more collaborative as a region and between various sectors which previously worked in silos. The region received $500 million through the Upstate Revitalization Initiative (URI) for its strategic plan, CNY Rising. The REDC and URI funding has allowed for expansion of businesses in our community, investments in traditionally underserved neighborhoods, and the creation of hundreds of new jobs.
