Preservation of a NYS-supervised public housing project in City of Rome, Oneida County. This is phase two of the renovation of a NYS Public Housing project, originally built in 1952. Phase I, consisting of 78 units, was funded by HCR in 2010, with renovation underway. This phase involves the new construction of 4 single family units and the rehabilitation of 3 apartment buildings consisting of 46 units for a total of 50 rental units. The project proposes gutting each existing building to allow the insulation of exterior walls, the replacement of all kitchens and bathrooms, and the complete reconfiguration of unit layouts.
