LOCATION 1850 South Ave. Roch. NY 14620 PLAN Construct 30,000 sq. ft. accessible building designed to meet needs of individuals/families affected by ASD and their service providers, including shared program space, sensory gym, classrooms, and therapy rooms. Building will link to URMC site planned for acreage adjacent to GAC. ISSUES 1) Families in urban, suburban and rural communities, of all socio-economic strata, and varying ethnicity and cultures are equally affected by ASD; 2) Many families, schools, health providers lack comprehensive knowledge of existing ASD services, and how or where to access them; 3) Individuals/families must interface with multiple providers spread across the county to access ASD resources. DELIVERABLES 1) Establish centralized location where ASD service providers work collaboratively, offering services complementary to specialized community medical services; 2) Establish comprehensive continuum of services spanning individuals; lifetime and centralized intake process improving ease of access to ASD services; 3) Number of individuals/families to be served: Yr. 1 - 2,000; Yr. 2 - 10% growth 2,200; Yr. 5 - (5% growth yrs. 3, 4 & 5) 2,675.
