Canandaigua Lake Watershed Management Plan Update

The City of Canandaigua and the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Council will update the 2014 Canandaigua Lake Watershed Plan to meet 9-Element Plan criteria. The update will include monitoring harmful algal blooms and water quality to provide a quantitative load reduction goal and develop a systematic approach to mitigate blooms which have caused serious economic consequences from public beach closures, increased water filtration costs, and reduced tourism.
