WBS - Hawkeye Trade Center Capital

WBS Capital Inc. will purchase the former Eastman Kodak Hawkeye Campus in the City of Rochester. The facility will be renovated in three phases & will become home to a variety of unique uses including a warehousing and distribution facility (with reactivation of the Foreign Trade Zone), an international trade market, HVAC repair & maintenance job training facility, commercial and medical office space, and affordable housing.  This multi-million dollar private investment in the Campus will create a new hub of activity in a severly distressed census tract/ neighborhood in the City of Rochester. [br /][br /]This funding request is for Phase I ONLY and will focus on Building 5 which will house the warehouse and distribution facility as part of the Foreign Trade Zone & an international trade market (a business to business marketplace concept pioneered in Yiwu, China).  This phase includes reactiviation of the currently dormant Foreign Trade Zone.  [br /][br /]Phase II of the redevopment will convert buildings 12 & 12A into a jobs training center specializing in the manufacture, assembly and maintenance of HVAC systems and commercial office space.  [br /] [br /]Phase III will provide 100 units of affordable housing.[br /][br /]
