Volunteers Improving Neighborhood Environments, Inc. (VINES) proposes to build a straw-bale green commercial office building. The project includes passive solar and integrated design principles, to achieve a highly energy efficient building with roof-top solar. This office and storage facility will support VINES urban farm, making it possible for local growers to access low/moderate income consumers and providing workforce development in agriculture.
