Troy Music Hall Expansion - The Alliance for Music Performance in Troy

The Troy Savings Bank Music Hall is a world-renown musical venue known for its rare acoustic excellence. In 2019, the Music Hall acquired the first-floor level bank condominium site beneath the music hall, formerly owned by Key Bank. This historically sensitive renovation project transforms a vacant, deteriorating space—that threatens the livelihood of a successful event venue and historic site—into an activity hub for complementary arts and culture events. Taken on as a joint venture, known as the Alliance for Music Performance in Troy (AMPT), between TSMBH and Empire State Youth Orchestra (ESYO), this transformational project creates administrative strength, new revenue, and jobs for arts and culture sector. Once complete, for the first time, Troy Savings Bank Music Hall s space will be fully active with the ability to function year-round as an event space, providing diversification of revenue through state-of-the art rehearsal space, the likes of which are currently unavailable in the Capital Region, showcasing the music hall as an historic regional asset continuously evolving, sustaining itself, and contributing to Troy s downtown revitalization
