The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties will renovate a long-vacant former school building for use as the Utica Free Academy Impact Center (UFAIC). This innovative model of a self-sustaining impact center will be based on residents’ identified needs, providing services that promote economic independence and targeting systemic socioeconomic issues. The center will support revitalization of a high-needs neighborhood and contribute to city-wide economic growth.
