In line with ESD program objectives,Spectrum Designs Foundation seeks to expand its thriving Nassau County non-for-profit social enterprise, into Westchester. Spectrum expects to lease and renovate a 10,000 square foot multi-use commercial property located at 901 North Broadway in White Plains and anticipates immediate job creation from the start, resulting in 18 FTE jobs by the end of 2023; it will also result in at least 8 part time employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities by 2021. Spectrum specializes in Screen Printing, Embroidery, and Digital Printing and Product fulfillment and has sold over 10 million dollars in products. It caters to the local community, municipalities and large corporations such as GOOGLE, JETBLUE, UBER, and even the Metro-North MTA! It currently has 40 employees, 25 of whom have autism (17 FTES). This project stands to create entry, mid-level and senior level jobs, attract new business, residence and commerce and provide vocational education for people with developmental disabilities; making an impact in all 3 Objective Areas:Community Development and Business and Economic Growth investment.
