Olean Community Theatre Development Project

Olean Community Theatre Development Project is the acquisition and redevelopment of the Temple B Nai Israel located at 127 South Barry Street in Olean, NY. and within the DRI zone. This historic building will allow the group to perform in a state-of-the art theatre, offering the audience a full and enriching experience of live performance arts. It will also provide a place for expanding entertainment, establish a permanent home for equipment as well as allow the OCT Board to expand programming, such as internships for students and members of the community who seek the opportunity to learn about theater productions. The acquisition and re-use of this building will ensure and preserve the future of the beautiful and historic place. Because of the sale and re-use of this property, current codes and laws must be followed, which means a new ADA compliant ramp and bathroom must be built and new HVAC system must be installed. There is also a need for a small addition to the back of the building to allow for "behind the stage" access. New seats, flooring and a stage with state-of-the art technology is also desired. The beautiful architecture, windows and exterior beauty will remain
