New Lab was established in 2016 and is a platform for scaling start-ups specializing in frontier technologies. New Lab sits at the center of innovation for entrepreneurs, corporations, cities, and investors. New Lab is requesting a $1,000,000 grant to expand its footprint in New York City by converting the third floor of Building 127 in the Brooklyn Navy Yard into workspace for companies specializing in emerging technologies. This 40,000-square-foot space will be developed as a technology hub supporting companies working in fields such as UrbanTech, AgTech, AI, and Quantum Computing. This project will transform the space to accelerate early stage technology companies by enabling them to rapidly develop their products and grow their companies. The project will support 35+ companies and create 300+ jobs.
