The City of Long Beach will improve Pacific Park Playground on Shore Road, located in a low-to-moderate income area where most residents live in high-rise apartment buildings and have limited access to outdoor recreational space. The playground equipment is severely rusted and falling apart due to the salt air and extreme weather from the ocean. The improvements will increase existing use of the park, improve public health and safety, and contribute to local revenue generation.
