The LEARN Center is a currently licensed private career school located in Ronkonkoma, NY. Our school has recognized a significant and immediate need for workforce development in the trades, specifically operating engineers, and commercial truck drivers. This year our school is on pace to train over 150 students for jobs as heavy equipment operators. In 2021, we received our license to be a driving school and have been trying to get this new venture off the ground while increasing our ability to train heavy equipment operators. The LEARN Center is looking to secure funding to renovate current buildings to accommodate more student training, purchase additional heavy equipment, purchase adjacent land to build additional structures to support commercial driver training, purchase technology to support in-classroom and simulator training methods, and purchase commercial trucks and trailers for commercial driver training. After project completion we anticipate the ability to double our current capacity to train heavy equipment operators. We also anticipate the ability to train approximately 25 drivers per month on entry level driver training to obtain commercial drivers licenses.
