Creation of the Borscht Belt Museum

The Committee for Catskill Resort Museum plans to transform a building in the Ellenville Downtown Historic District (Ulster County) into a one-of-a-kind cultural attraction that will celebrate the hundreds of hotels, bungalow colonies and boarding houses that flourished in Sullivan and Ulster counties in the late 19th century through the early 1980s. “The Borscht Belt Museum” will be housed in the former Ellenville National Bank building.
