Cahoon Farms located in Wolcott, Wayne County, currently processes fresh and frozen IQF (individually quick frozen) apples and IQF cherries, apple concentrate, single strength juice and unpasteurized single strength juice. They will renovate their facility and acquire new production machinery and equipment to establish an applesauce line. The additional production line will create new jobs and provide an indirect benefit to the apple producers in NYS providing them with an additional outlet for their supply, much of which is currently processed out of state.
