SUNY Upstate Medical University completed a $3.5 million project to build-out and equip 11 of 18 1,000 sq. ft. independent laboratory-office modules that will house scientists, technicians and entrepreneurs, and business support services within the existing 60,000 sq. ft. Central New York Biotechnology Accelerator Center, formerly known as the "Biotechnology Research Center." The overall cost of the state-funded facility, which opened in 2012, is $26,019,758.
