Artpark Amphitheater

Artpark is a visual and performing arts destination (located within a NY State Park) located in the Village of Lewiston in the northwest corner of Niagara County along the Lower Niagara River. Artpark with its 150 acres, features a 2300 seat Mainstage Theater with adjacent seating lawn (1800 capacity) and an Upper Park Outdoor Amphitheater, has been dedicated to serving the visual and performing arts for over 37 years. During many performances, a substantial portion of the audience cannot view the stage, performers, nor the majestic views of the Niagara Gorge that serve as the amphitheater?s backdrop. This project will entail re-grading and re-shaping the existing lawn seating area to provide more audience members with views of the stage. This project will set the stage to implement Artpark?s Master Plan by providing the initial groundwork required to improve ADA-compatible access and viewing for the thousands of annual visitors to Artpark. The project will also include site perimeter fencing. A proposed ?green room? is a pre-manufactured 1,536 square foot building which accommodates restrooms, dressing rooms, office space, general gathering space and a break room for production staff. Parking Lot ?A? Improvements will increase the capacity by 100 parking spaces. The site construction includes the provisions (stone base, concrete tower footings and deaden) for the installation of a 40?x 40? stage and sound wings. A new stage canopy and speaker towers are required to fit over the larger stage.
