Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc. proposes to create a Southern Tier Regional Training System (STRTS) to serve Steuben, Chemung and Schuyler counties. The goal of this system will be to provide the healthcare sector of the Southern Tier of NYS a better prepared, and ample supply of health care aides. The STRTS will help to create a uniform training system, identify eligible participants to be trained, provide pre-employment skills training prior to core vocational training, and provide intensive case management to positively affect job retention rates.
