Conversion to Digital Projection will increase the cultural footprint of the theatre, helping to revitalize downtown Albany. The Palace brings thousands of patrons to Albany, increases local business for restaurants, shops, parking garages, hotels, and more, providing job security for hundreds of employees. Conversion will enable The Palace to accommodate live performing artists which have specific technical needs (previously not possible) and new opportunity for film screenings and festivals, further increasing downtown tourism.
