Long Island Regional Economic Development Council to Hold Consolidated Funding Application Workshops Across Region
The Long Island Regional Economic Development Council (LIREDC) will hold three Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) workshops for potential applicants to learn more about the third round of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s initiative to stimulate job creation and economic growth through the Regional Economic Development Councils. The workshops will be held June 18 in Stony Brook, July 11 in Hempstead and July 23 in Garden City. In 2013, up to $760 million in economic development resources will be available to applicants through the CFA.

The CFA application period will open to applicants across Long Island in both Nassau and Suffolk Counties, at 8 a.m. on June 17. The deadline for CFA submissions is 4 p.m. on August 12. CFAs will be reviewed by the LIREDC based on their alignment with the Council’s strategic plan and will be reviewed on a technical basis by the State Agency Resource Team.
