Round 8 DRI and Round 3 NYF Applications are Due by 4pm Friday, October 18, 2024

$100 million each for Round 8 of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative and Round 3 of the NY Forward program are due by 4pm on Friday, October 18th.  Applications are available through the State’s Consolidated Funding Application Portal . Visit the Downtown Revitalization Initiative website for more information. 

Requirement - All DRI/NYF applicants need to already be a certified Pro Housing Community or have submitted a letter of intent (LOI) by the application deadline (10/18).

Pro-Housing Community Program Certification

NYS programs to prioritize the allocation of discretionary funds to promote housing: Downtown Revitalization Initiative, NY Forward, Regional Council Capital Fund, New York Main Street, Market New York (capital grants) and Long Island Investment Fund.

Webinar: Pro-Housing Requirements for DRI Round 8 and NY Forward Round 3, Thursday, August 22nd at 1:00pm

Representatives from HCR will discuss Pro-Housing Communities, and the process for applying. DRI Round 8 and NYF Round 3 awardees are required to be certified prior to award. The webinar will allow potential applicants to ask questions on the process.

Webinar: Transforming Downtowns with Strong Revitalization Project, Thursday, August 29th at 10am

A discussion on how potential applicants should be identifying strong projects that will be tied to revitalization efforts in their downtown. This presentation will focus on establishing that process and giving examples from past community applications.

$50M Restore New York Program

Governor Hochul announced $50M is available through the RESTORE NY Program. This program was designed to Combat Municipal Blight and Spark New Investments; Will Prioritize Projects Addressing Damage from July 15-16 Storms.  

Applicant Webinar will be held on 9/25/24 at 10am.  

Letters of Intent due by 5pm EST on Wednesday, October 23rd.  More information will be available via https://esd.ny.gov/restore-new-york
