New York State has allotted $250 Million in this year's budget for the RESTORE New York Communities Initiative, a municipal grant program which will provide funding to demolish and/or rehabilitate vacant and abandoned properties. There will be two funding rounds this year that will target disadvantaged communities and rural areas in addition to urban centers.
