$8M for Mohawk Valley Projects

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced $13.6 million for 44 projects in regions around the State that will help businesses expand and succeed, improve public facilities, and create jobs. The Community Renewal Funds (CRF) were made available to five of Governor Cuomo’s Regional Economic Development Councils (REDC): Mohawk Valley, Southern Tier, Western New York, Mid-Hudson, and the North Country. Together, the projects will create approximately 270 jobs and create and preserve 170 affordable housing units.

“In the last four years, Regional Economic Development Councils have set real priorities and goals for making New York’s communities stronger,” said Governor Cuomo. “By helping business grow, shoring up infrastructure, preserving affordable housing and most important, creating jobs, we are today harnessing the expertise of local partners and investing in projects that move New York forward.”
