In preparation for the next round of the Consolidated Funding Application (CFA), the WNY REDC is beginning to accept Letters of Interest (LOI) from prospective applicants as a means of identifying high quality projects earlier and offering CFA technical assistance throughout the application process.
Purpose
The WNY Regional Economic Development Council is welcoming the submittal of information from prospective applicants for the next round of the Regional Council Consolidated Funding Application (CFA). The letter of interest is voluntary and not a required step in the CFA process. Through this outreach, the WNY REDC seeks to begin discussions of project ideas that by being identified earlier in the year can be developed in conjunction with technical assistance from ESD and enhance the quality of the proposal.
Alignment with Regional Strategies
It is highly recommended that interested applicants review the goals, strategies, and criteria for projects in the WNY REDC Strategic Plan, A Strategy for Prosperity. In addition, it may be helpful to review previously supported projects in some of our most recent annual Progress Reports prior to submitting a letter of interest. These documents are available for download:
Our Response
Once a proposal is received it will be reviewed for strategic alignment and readiness and staff from ESD will reach out for further information. The Council will have the opportunity to offer support for the project by encouraging the pursuit of a CFA and offering technical assistance by working with ESD to develop the application for submission in the CFA process (date to be confirmed).
